A 73-year-old Joplin man is dead after the Jeep Wrangler he was driving ran off South Main Street near Shoal Cliff Drive and overturned Thursday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash happened at 7:32 p.m. when the southbound 2008 Jeep Wrangler left the right side of the roadway, sustaining extensive damage before it was towed from the scene by Ron's Wrecker.
