A 91-year-old Charleston woman died Sunday afternoon after her car ran off Highway N, struck a culvert and overturned in Mississippi County, Missouri. The crash happened around 1:31 p.m., about two miles north of Charleston, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to KFVS12, a northbound Chevrolet Malibu ran off the left side of Highway N before hitting the culvert and flipping. The station reported the woman was wearing a seat belt and that her vehicle was totaled in the crash. As reported by KTTN, the Malibu was a 2023 model.

KTTN's account places the driver's death at 1:42 p.m., roughly eleven minutes after the crash occurred. The same outlet reports that Heppes Towing removed the wrecked Malibu from the scene, and that the Missouri State Highway Patrol notified the woman's next of kin.
