Abel's Bagels plans to open its first franchise location later this year near Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road. The larger shop is expected to add production and catering capacity, according to Las Vegas Weekly.
What the expansion would build on
The existing Abel's opened in Southwest Las Vegas in 2022 and remains at 7150 South Durango Drive, Suite 130. The business lists hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in its August 2026 guide.
The shop makes its bagels by hand, ferments the dough slowly, then boils and bakes it on site. Abel's says its production process also requires covering the dough and spraying it with water to limit drying in Las Vegas' climate. The business's guide says its dough uses non-GMO flour and barley malt, its salads are made from scratch and its ham comes from Fra'Mani.
Menu and business background
Las Vegas Weekly reported that the menu includes chicken salad and egg salad sandwiches, assorted bagels and cream cheeses, and a $13 tuna salad bagel made with sushi-grade tuna, Kewpie mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lettuce, tomato, sumac and homemade relish. Juices and smoothies are priced at $10, while acai bowls cost $13; the outlet linked those offerings to founder Nick Pace's earlier Long Island juice-bar business.
Pace co-founded Nooks & Kindles in Roslyn, New York, in 2014. According to Spoon University, he first encountered acai bowls during a 2013 trip to San Diego before helping develop the juice-bar concept.
A January 2026 feature from StarChefs highlighted Pace's everything bagel with smoked lox, capers, sumac and lemon zest.
Franchise requirements in Nevada
Nevada does not require a separate state registration for franchise offerings, but franchisors must still meet the Federal Trade Commission's disclosure requirements, according to Leah Martin Law. Abel's Bagels lists 702-516-4244 as its contact number on its website.
