Investigators identified three persons of interest: 29-year-old David Basham, 28-year-old Bonnie Simpson, and 25-year-old Kolby Osterdock, per the OSBI statement. Osterdock was arrested on an accessory to murder charge. Idabel is in McCurtain County, roughly 51 miles southeast of Antlers, according to local auction listing records that reference the area's geography.
Simpson and Basham Tracked Down Days Later
Two days after Osterdock's arrest, the U.S. Marshals Service took Bonnie Simpson into custody on September 10, and she was also booked into the McCurtain County Jail on an accessory to murder charge, the OSBI reports. Basham remained at large the longest. Marshals later located him.
If formally indicted and convicted, Basham would face the penalties Oklahoma law reserves for first-degree murder under Title 21 § 701.7: death, life without parole, or life with the possibility of parole, according to Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals records outlining the statute.
