A 72-year-old Ashland man suffered serious injuries Friday afternoon when his pickup truck left Missouri 5 near the Santa Fe Trail and slammed into a utility pole in Morgan County. He was wearing his seat belt, and the truck was left totaled at the scene.
The man was driving along Missouri 5 near the Santa Fe Trail when the crash occurred. He traveled off the left side of the roadway before striking the pole.
The truck did not survive the impact. The pickup was totaled.
Hospital Destination
The injured man was taken to Capital Regional Hospital, also referred to as Capital Region, for treatment, according to kjluradio.com.
As reported by ABC 17 News, the crash remains under review, and no further details about the man's condition have been released.
