Bad Suns’ sophomore album Disappear Here is the focus of a Phoenix performance at downtown’s The Van Buren this February.
The Album Behind the Phoenix Date
According to Phoenix New Times, the Phoenix stop is billed as a ten-year celebration of Disappear Here at The Van Buren in downtown Phoenix. Tickets are listed via Ticketmaster.
Disappear Here originally came out on September 16 through Vagrant Records. The album had “Heartbreaker” as a lead single.
Where the Album's Title Came From
Frontman Christo Bowman explained in a September 2016 interview that the album's title was pulled from Bret Easton Ellis's 1985 novel Less Than Zero, where the phrase appears on a Los Angeles billboard within the story, according to Euphoria Magazine. Bowman said at the time that encountering the phrase in the novel struck him as a compelling prompt for listeners, the outlet notes.
Christo Bowman is the band's frontman. The band drew early inspiration from post-punk acts like The Cure and Elvis Costello. Language & Perspective was the band's debut.
