Officers responded just after 6 p.m. to find the victim suffering from gunshot wounds before emergency responders rushed him to a hospital.
The Memphis Police Department said the suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants, carrying a backpack, and riding away from the scene on a bicycle, according to FOX13 Memphis. No one had been detained as of the outlet's report, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Wednesday's shooting marks at least the third time in 2026 that gunfire has struck the same stretch of Bluff Wood Cove.
