A death investigation is underway in Harris County after a body was discovered under a bridge in the 12800 block of Homestead Road. Reports indicate the deceased person was found beneath the bridge.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared word of the active scene on social media, amplifying a report from the @13PhotogSuggs account
stating that Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies were on scene of a death investigation at the location.

A Roadway With a History of Violent Incidents
This is not the first time the 12800 block of Homestead Road has drawn a heavy law enforcement response. In October 2023, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a shooting at the same block after a car thief opened fire on two brothers who were tracking down a stolen vehicle, according to Click2Houston. A juvenile was left in stable condition following that gunfire.
