Any isolated rain showers should end before 8 a.m. Monday. After that, skies will clear quickly, though northwest winds of 10 to 18 mph could gust as high as 30 mph through the afternoon.

Monday night will be mostly clear, but the breeze and clear skies will send temperatures tumbling to around 55 degrees. North winds will continue at 9 to 14 mph, with occasional gusts up to 24 mph.
Boaters should take extra care, as a Small Craft Advisory is in effect for portions of the local waters from late Monday morning into early Tuesday. The strongest winds are expected during the day Monday and again Monday evening.

Boston Harbor boaters should treat the advisory as a reason to delay planned operations. According to Boston University's Small Boat Safety Manual, operators should postpone planned boat operations in waters covered by a National Weather Service Small Craft Advisory until more favorable conditions return. The manual also advises operators to inspect the boat and its equipment, assess weather and sea conditions, and brief passengers on emergency procedures before departure.

Tuesday will be sunny but cooler, with a high near 65. The forecast then turns warmer quickly, with Wednesday bringing sunshine and a high near 76.
Thursday should remain mostly sunny with a high around 77, although rain showers could develop Thursday night. Friday should be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching 72 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
