The market runs Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., according to FOX 13 Seattle. Admission costs just $1 in cash, and the venue has both a bar and an ATM on site, the station reports. Shoppers can browse thrift clothing, vinyl records, original artwork, merchandise, and toys and games from a rotating cast of vendors and artists, per the same account.
Two Decades Since Its Belltown Beginnings
The market's roots trace back more than 20 years to organizer Josh Okrent, who came up with the idea for the very first event, according to FOX 13 Seattle. That inaugural market took place in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood in September 2006, the outlet notes. Okrent has said he wanted to create a space that would build community in Seattle, and that the market is open to everyone, requiring no particular clothing style, music preference or punk-rock credentials — a philosophy echoed in an event listing on ma.to, which states plainly that all ages are welcome.
Okrent has also said the market's money stays in the community and benefits the people who participate in it, per the station's report. Two decades after that first Belltown gathering, the anniversary edition keeps that same all-ages, no-gatekeeping spirit intact while adding live music to the mix.

Locating the current market takes a bit of untangling.
