Louisville is starting Wednesday under cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 60s, with a brief chance of rain showers early. The bigger shift comes later this week, when sunny skies and crisp overnight temperatures finally give the city a convincing taste of fall.
The latest forecast from National Weather Service Louisville calls for a high near 70 Wednesday, with northeast winds. Rain chances remain low around Louisville, although scattered showers are more likely farther east, especially near and east of the Interstate 75 corridor.
Clouds Hold On Before Thursday Improvement
Wednesday night should stay mostly cloudy, with a low around 61 and northeast winds. Thursday brings highs in the lower 70s, with cloud cover still uncertain, followed by a cooler low around 55 under partly cloudy conditions.
There are no watches, warnings or advisories posted for the Louisville forecast area. For commuters and anyone with outdoor plans, the main nuisance is lingering cloud cover rather than severe weather, with only a small shower risk locally.
Sunny Weekend Leads To A Warmer Start Next Week
Friday looks sunny with a high near 76, while Friday night lows could fall into the 40s. Saturday should be sunny and mild near 77, and Sunday is forecast to be partly sunny with another high around 77.
The warm-up returns Monday, when mostly sunny skies push temperatures near 81, followed by a sunny Tuesday with a high around 86. That updated outlook adds a warmer finish to the week than Hoodline previously reported, but the immediate forecast still favors jackets in the morning and clouds over Louisville on Wednesday.
