Del City police are investigating the death of 44-year-old Casteal Buckhanan as a homicide. News 9 reported that a 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with the case on complaints of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a child. The juvenile’s name has not been released, according to News 9.
Information released about the shooting
Buckhanan was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment in the 3300 block of South Bryant Avenue and later died at a local hospital, KOCO reported. The outlet said police had gone to the complex after reports of a disturbance and gunshots.
Investigation status
Authorities have not identified the juvenile suspect publicly. The homicide investigation remains active, and officials have not announced when they will release additional information about the circumstances of Buckhanan’s death.
