Doña Ana Community College's nursing program has become the first in New Mexico to earn endorsement from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, a distinction that places its simulation lab among just 15 institutions recognized worldwide this year. The honor covers a three-year cycle running through 2029 and recognizes the college's use of simulation training within its nursing curriculum.
According to KTSM 9 News, the college underwent an application process before acceptance, and the endorsement makes Doña Ana Community College the first school in the state recognized by INACSL, an organization the station reports has more than 3,000 members worldwide. The Healthcare Simulation Standards Endorsement award recognizes institutions that demonstrate excellence in applying four simulation standards: prebriefing, facilitation, professional integrity, and debriefing, the station notes. INACSL itself describes these as four simulation standards, according to INACSL.
INACSL's own list of endorsed programs confirms Doña Ana Community College is one of 15 institutions newly endorsed internationally during the 2026 review cycle, per INACSL.
