Gunfire tore through a residential stretch of Blossom Avenue in Suisun City on Thursday night, leaving two people wounded after a suspect vehicle pulled alongside their car and opened fire. Police officers were called to the 1300 block, between Sarah Way and Railroad Avenue, at 7:10 p.m. and found two victims who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers responding to the block located the victims inside a vehicle that had been shot into after an unknown suspect car pulled alongside them and fired multiple rounds, according to ABC10. As CBS Sacramento reports, both victims were taken to a hospital, and Suisun City police have not released a description of the suspects or the vehicle they were driving. Blossom Avenue itself sits in a residential corridor that has recently seen public investment: the city's July 2026 municipal update noted that key segments of the street had undergone pavement resurfacing and slurry sealing. The block also lies near community green space, including Prosperity Garden Park across from the McCoy Creek Trail entrance, according to city records.
A City Still Recovering From a Cyberattack
Thursday's shooting also arrives weeks after Suisun City's emergency infrastructure took its own hit. City leaders unanimously declared a local state of emergency in early August after a malware attack disrupted the city's IT network and 911 call routing system, forcing emergency calls to be temporarily rerouted through Solano County's central dispatch. It is unclear whether that disruption has been fully resolved as of this shooting.
Violent crime is not new territory for this small city.
