Dunkin' and L.L.Bean are preparing a limited-edition collection of apparel, bags and coffee accessories, with online sales scheduled to begin September 29 at 10 a.m. ET. The collaboration also includes Boston-area appearances, including a Bootmobile stop and a preview event at L.L.Bean's Seaport store.

The partnership is the first between the two brands, according to the Boston Globe. The collection includes a crewneck Birdseye sweater in Dunkin's vibrant magenta for $79.95 and a Dunkin'-branded version of L.L.Bean's Boat and Tote for $59.95. The same report says the lineup includes matching sweater and tote cup sleeves for iced coffee. A tiny knit sleeve sized for a medium iced macchiato is also part of the release, Time Out Boston reports.

What's In the Collection, and What It Costs

A smaller Dunkin' x L.L.Bean Coffee Tote will cost $24.95 and will be available at select Dunkin' locations in Maine, according to Macon.com. A limited-edition Birdseye Sweater Cup Sleeve will be given away with hot or iced coffee orders while supplies last. The complete collection goes on sale online at 10 a.m. ET on September 29, National Coffee Day.

No money changed hands to make the collaboration happen. The Globe reports that no money was exchanged as part of the deal, and that both companies keep whatever they sell through their own respective channels.

How This Fits Dunkin's Other Partnerships

The L.L.Bean release is not Dunkin's only 2026 merchandise collaboration. According to Dunkin', a separate partnership with Parke began in July and combined a limited-edition apparel collection and co-branded tumblers with a beverage promotion. What distinguishes the L.L.Bean launch in the announcement is that it is the first collaboration between Dunkin' and L.L.Bean, pairing Dunkin' branding with L.L.Bean items such as the Birdseye sweater and Boat and Tote.

Bootmobile Rolls From Maine to Boston, With a Fenway Stop

L.L.Bean's Bootmobile, the company's giant boot-shaped vehicle, is traveling from Maine to Boston through September 29 in a sweater-inspired design, according to the Globe. The route includes a September 26 stop at Fenway Park, where the vehicle will carry a Dunkin'-inspired look, Time Out Boston reports. The Bootmobile will also visit select Dunkin' restaurants, where fans can take photos and compete for Dunkin' gift cards, according to Macon.com.

The Bootmobile itself has some history behind it. L.L.Bean unveiled the original Bootmobile in 2012 to mark the company's 100th anniversary, according to L.L.Bean. That first vehicle is a 13-foot-high, 20-foot-long road-ready replica of the company's iconic boot. A second Bootmobile joined the fleet in 2013, and a third version came on board in 2019, per L.L.Bean's own account. Across all three vehicles, L.L.Bean says they have covered more than 350,000 miles and appeared at hundreds of events in 25 states and two countries.

A Donut Wall and Free Coffee at the Seaport

L.L.Bean's Seaport store in Boston will host a preview event September 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to Macon.com's report. The fall-themed gathering will include a donut wall, custom doughnuts, Munchkins, complimentary Dunkin' coffee and Refreshers, and an opportunity to see the collaboration's merchandise before the online release.

Dunkin' Rewards members get an added incentive to mark the calendar for National Coffee Day itself. Time Out Boston reports that Dunkin' Rewards members will receive a free medium coffee with any purchase on September 29 — the same day the sweater, tote and coffee gear officially go on sale online.
