Dylan Scott is bringing his new headlining run to Denver, with a February 18, 2027 stop at the Mission Ballroom in the RiNo Arts District. The country star's Dear Big City Tour spans 18 cities and pulls its name from his current radio single, a song written as a letter asking a big city to look after his son should he ever leave home for it.
Scott announced the tour this week, telling fans, according to 98.5 KYGO, that “it only felt right to name this tour after the song that calls to the big city as a small-town kid.” He added that the run will bring his live show “to fans in bigger markets in the new year.” The tour kicks off January 21, 2027 at the Fillmore Detroit and wraps March 6, 2027 in Wenatchee, Washington, with the Denver date landing roughly a month into the run.
The single behind the tour's title, “Dear Big City,” dropped in late June 2026 as a radio release, written by Jamie Paulin, Matt Alderman and Nate Kenyon. According to Curb Records, the song was framed as a letter to the city that might one day take his son away from home, and it speaks to the emotional tension small-town parents feel watching their kids head off to major metros.
Inside the Mission Ballroom Stop
Denver's Mission Ballroom sits at 4242 Wynkoop Street and is operated by AEG Presents Rocky Mountains, offering 60,000 square feet of indoor space with a maximum capacity of 3,950, per Visit Denver. The $38 million venue opened in August 2019 as the anchor of the 14-acre North Wynkoop development. It was designed by Works Progress Architecture.
What makes the room notable for a tour like Scott's is its flexibility: a trolley-mounted moving stage lets organizers shrink capacity from 3,950 down to a more intimate 2,200 while preserving clear sightlines throughout the building, Visit Denver notes. That range makes it one of the more adaptable mid-sized dates on the 18-city run.
Support Acts Bring Their Own Résumés
Scott will be joined on select dates by Graham Barham, Jacob Hackworth and Cody Lohden. Barham, an Oak Ridge, Louisiana native signed to Sony Music Nashville/Disruptor Records, grew up on a farm and taught himself guitar at age 10 before moving to Nashville at 18, according to Country Standard Time. He released his breakout single “WHISKEY WHISKEY” in June 2024.
Hackworth brings songwriting pedigree rather than just performing credits — he co-wrote Bailey Zimmerman's multi-platinum hit “Rock and A Hard Place,” per Spotify for Artists.
A Steady Climb Up the Venue Ladder
The Dear Big City Tour follows two other headlining runs in quick succession. Scott's 2025 Country Till I Die Tour marked his first time headlining arena venues and set attendance records for him, while he followed that with the Till I Can't I Will Tour, which wrapped in summer 2026, according to BroadwayWorld. The progression tracks with his radio momentum: Scott scored his seventh country radio No. 1 in 2025 with “What He'll Never Have,” following the chart-topping “This Town's Been Too Good to Us,” and Curb Records also notes ASCAP recognition.
His catalog carries serious sales weight too — a 4x Platinum certification for “My Girl” and 2x Platinum for “Can't Have Mine (Find You A Girl),” with Scott's total career streams surpassing 5 billion in 2026, Curb Records reports. His catalog extends beyond those singles.
Before this tour was announced, Scott stayed busy on the festival circuit, playing Austin's iHeartCountry Festival in May, where he appeared on a lineup with Luke Bryan and Kane Brown — an appearance Hoodline previously covered.
Tickets and What's Still Unknown
Presales for the Dear Big City Tour begin September 17, 2026, with general tickets going on sale September 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Beyond Denver, the 18-city route includes stops at GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids, the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, the Bismarck Event Center, Vibrant Music Hall in Waukee, Iowa, the Mayo Civic Center Auditorium in Rochester, the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut, the Fillmore in Philadelphia, and MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston.
It remains an open question whether additional dates or a second Denver night could be added if presale demand surges once tickets open later this month.
