A 46-year-old East El Paso woman is facing criminal charges after police say she got into a physical fight with an 18-year-old inside her home, then tried to keep officers from checking on the teen by pushing and closing the door on them. Isela Marine Reyes Torres was arrested on the 3600 block of Jamaican Palm Drive after the 18-year-old asked for help from the home's second-story window as officers arrived.
Officers had responded to reports of an assault in East El Paso, according to KFOX, and located the 18-year-old at the residence. Per the El Paso Police Department, Reyes Torres had allegedly gotten into a fight with the teen before officers showed up, and once they arrived, she allegedly kept getting in the way as they tried to check on the young woman inside.
The address is in the Las Palmas subdivision of East El Paso, within ZIP code 79936, according to HAR.com.
