Quiet Wednesday Before Storm Chances Return
Wednesday looks sunnier and slightly calmer, with a high near 97°F, a low around 77°F, and only a minimal rain chance in El Paso. Thursday stays near 97°F as well, but a 20% chance of overnight showers and thunderstorms arrives before storm chances rise to 30% Friday night.
Forecasters expect the wetter pattern to favor the mountains and areas west of the Rio Grande later in the week, while much of the lowland remains dry. Friday should be mostly sunny with a high near 96°F, followed by highs near 97°F through Sunday and Labor Day.

No watches, warnings, or advisories are posted for the El Paso area, but afternoon heat will still make prolonged outdoor activity uncomfortable. Water, shade, and lighter activity during the hottest hours remain the sensible play, especially for children, older adults, pets, and anyone working outside.
