Daniel Lewis Brock, 37, of Elyria, is facing a first-degree-felony aggravated robbery charge after police say he demanded money while indicating he had a firearm at a KeyBank branch. He was arrested in Cleveland less than two hours later, and investigators also believe he may be connected to an attempted robbery at a Lorain Chase Bank earlier that morning, according to police and Fox 8 Cleveland WJW.
Elyria police officers responded to the KeyBank at 1180 West River Road North at about 9:22 a.m. on Thursday, according to the Morning Journal. Police say a white man walked in, indicated he was armed with a firearm, and demanded money from a teller before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, as reported by Fox 8 Cleveland WJW. No injuries were reported in the robbery. The KeyBank branch is at 1180 West River Road North, according to the Chronicle-Telegram.
A Fast-Moving Manhunt Across Two Counties
Cleveland police located Brock in the 2200 block of Broadview Road at about 11 a.m., roughly 100 minutes after Elyria officers received the KeyBank robbery call, according to WKYC. Police said Brock fled into a nearby residence and was arrested while attempting to climb out a window, Fox 8 Cleveland WJW reported.
Brock was transferred to Elyria police custody following his arrest, and he was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, according to the Morning Journal.
