A fight between two men on the 3600 block of West Franklin Street in Baltimore's Allendale neighborhood left a 49-year-old man with a cut to his body Friday, and a 43-year-old suspect is now behind bars. Police say the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the altercation turned violent.
According to FOX Baltimore, Baltimore Police arrived on scene after receiving reports of a cutting on West Franklin Street. Officers found the 49-year-old victim suffering from a cut sustained during the fight, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed the altercation between the two men resulted in one man's hospitalization, per the same report.
The 43-year-old suspect was taken into custody and brought to Central Booking, the station's report notes. Adult suspects arrested by Baltimore Police are processed and intake-classified at the Baltimore Central Booking & Intake Center at 300 East Madison Street, which is operated by the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
What Charges Could Follow
Exactly what charges prosecutors will file remains an open question, and it will likely hinge on how investigators classify the altercation.
