
A new Tex-Mex restaurant has opened at 9179 Dallas Pkwy. #170 in Frisco, bringing house-made tortillas, $79 Wagyu strip steak and a bar stocked with more than 50 liquor and spirit brands. Mero Mero Tex Mex occupies a 4,568-square-foot space with indoor seating and an outdoor patio built for roughly 65 people.
According to Community Impact, Mero Mero opened Sept. 21 at 9179 Dallas Pkwy. #170, in a 4,568-square-foot space.
House-Made Tortillas and a $79 Steak
The menu leans into fajitas, offering chicken, shrimp, Wagyu sirloin flap and mixed combinations for $25 to $36, each plate coming with guacamole, grilled onions, bell peppers, borracho beans, rice and tortillas, per CultureMap's reporting. Tacos and enchiladas run $18 to $24, including a chicken, cheese or seafood enchilada loaded with lobster, crab and shrimp. The menu also includes tacos.
Bigger plates push into higher-end territory, with branzino, lamb barbacoa, cochinita pibil, airline chicken with mole oaxaqueño and chile relleno rounding out the menu, according to the same CultureMap account. The Wagyu New York strip tops the list as the restaurant's priciest dish at $79. Tortilla chips and fresh salsas are also on offer.

Big-Dill Hospitality's portfolio includes Muchacho Tex-Mex, Casa Brasa, Even Coast and the newer concept Maroma. FSR Magazine reported that Maroma was set to open in Dallas' Design District on May 4. Mero Mero uses the slogan “NOT YOUR AVERAGE TEX-MEX.”
