Food trucks, carnival games, and live music are set to take over the parking lot at Galleria at Sunset in Henderson from September 25 through September 27, as the Great American Foodie Fest returns for another run. The festival will be held at the mall located near Stephanie Street and W. Sunset Road, with gates opening at 5 p.m. on the first day.
The event is presented by MYVEGAS Magazine, according to seed reporting, and runs on a staggered schedule across its three days. As reported by FOX5 Vegas, doors open Friday, September 25 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., then shift to a noon start on Saturday, September 26 through 11 p.m., and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, September 27.
Beyond the food, organizers describe carnival rides, specialty shopping, live entertainment, and interactive attractions as part of the lineup, per the same station's report. The Great American Foodie Fest's own website says its aim is to bring “unique 'out of market' food attractions that are from all over the country” alongside local street food trucks and booths.
Vendors and Featured Food Stops
Two vendors have been highlighted ahead of the festival: Great American Funnel Cake, whose owner is Jay Johnston, and Yonutz, owned by Brooke Craig. Both are listed as featured vendors for this year's event, with Johnston and Craig each previewing samples of their offerings. Mark Shaffer, described as MYVEGAS Magazine's owner and publisher, previewed the festival ahead of its opening weekend.
Carnival rides come at an additional cost on top of festival admission. Per the official ticket page, ride tickets are sold at $1 apiece, and rides typically take four to seven tickets to redeem, on the Great American Foodie Fest ticket site.

VIP options show a similar split. The official site prices the VIP Tasting Experience at $55, or $100 for a pass with unlimited reentry across all three days. FOX5 Vegas describes VIP Tasting Experience passes starting at $45 early bird, featuring samples from 15 participating food vendors, drink tickets, luxury restroom access, and three-day re-entry. Tickets will also be sold at the gate on all three festival days, according to the festival's ticket page.
Free Admission, Parking, and Age Rules
Families can catch a break at the gate: children measuring 48 inches or shorter get in free, per the official ticket listing. Parking at Galleria at Sunset will also be free for the duration of the festival, according to Vegas4Locals.
The festival's ticket page also spells out a supervision policy for teens: guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent who stays on site and must carry appropriate identification.
