A 23-year-old Grove City man remains jailed after a 44-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest at a home Sunday morning, according to authorities cited in local reports. Family members restrained the man until deputies arrived, and the woman was taken to a hospital before being flown to Minneapolis for specialized trauma care. Her injuries were described as not life-threatening.
The Meeker County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the 800 block of Maple Lane at 9:25 a.m. on September 20 after the woman was stabbed, according to KNSI. Family members helped the woman until paramedics arrived and held the suspect until law enforcement took him into custody. He was arrested at the scene without incident, and investigators later executed a search warrant at the home.
Separate reporting by WJON identified the suspect as 23-year-old Mitchell Lokken. He is being held in the Meeker County Jail pending his first court appearance, the report said. The sheriff's office said the stabbing followed a disagreement between the man and woman, who reportedly know each other.
