Gwinnett County police are searching for a 23-year-old woman accused of opening fire on another driver's vehicle during a road rage confrontation near Hog Mountain Road and Braselton Highway earlier this month. Investigators say Sierra Iman Little pulled out in front of the victim on Sept. 7, and after the victim honked at her, she allegedly returned to the scene and shot at the car multiple times.
According to CBS News Atlanta, the confrontation unfolded on Hog Mountain Road near Braselton Highway, also known as Georgia State Route 124.
Police say Little sped toward and hit the victim's vehicle before the shooting began, and that her gunfire struck the car multiple times. It remains unclear from available reporting whether the victim was struck by any of the shots. Little is not currently in custody, and authorities have obtained arrest warrants charging her with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless driving, and hit and run, per the outlet's report.
Cameras Led Detectives to a Suspect
Investigators identified Little using surveillance footage and Flock camera data, the station's report notes. Gwinnett County's police department relies on a network of more than 800 Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras — 680 of which are funded directly by local business districts and neighborhood associations — to track suspect vehicles and help solve violent crimes, according to Flock Safety.
Detectives used camera data to help verify her identity.
Camera Oversight Tightened Amid Misuse Scandal
The identification comes as Gwinnett County officials are tightening internal oversight of the same camera network. In September 2026, county leaders cut data retention on the Flock system from 30 days to 15 days and began requiring supervisory approval for searches, following an audit that led to criminal charges against three officers for misusing license plate reader data, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. Hoodline previously reported on a Braselton officer's firing following a separate internal audit involving misuse during 2024 and 2025.
If convicted, Little would face steep mandatory penalties under Georgia law. Aggravated assault carries one to 20 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum of five years when a firearm is discharged from within a vehicle toward another person, according to Justia Law. Separately, possessing a firearm during a felony carries its own mandatory five-year sentence that must run consecutively to any punishment for the underlying crime.
Part of a Troubling Statewide Pattern
This shooting is far from an isolated case in the region. In June 2026, Gwinnett County police arrested a driver in a separate road rage confrontation near Hamilton Mill Road after a victim's wearable camera captured him pointing a firearm with his finger on the trigger — a case Hoodline covered in July. And in July 2024, Lawrenceville police arrested a woman for shooting a driver in the knee during a road rage dispute while a toddler sat in her vehicle.
Nationally, road rage shootings have raised public safety concerns. Road rage gun violence has also been reported in Georgia, as FOX 5 Atlanta reported in June 2024.
