The Harlem Globetrotters are headed to Cleveland this winter, bringing a revamped show to Rocket Arena on Dec. 30. The world-famous basketball entertainers say the stop is part of their Rivalry Tour, a production built around a new game format, a new lineup of rivals and all-new challenges.
New Format Hits Rocket Arena Dec. 30
The Globetrotters announced they are bringing the Rivalry Tour to Cleveland later this year, according to News 5 Cleveland. The team is set to perform on Dec. 30 at Rocket Arena, per the same report. The station notes the tour includes a whole new game, a new lineup of rivals, and all-new challenges, a departure from the format Globetrotters crowds have seen in years past.
Per the same account, the Globetrotters describe the production as unlike any other in 100 years, a nod to the team's long history of reinventing its on-court show for new generations of fans. The Cleveland stop puts fans right in the middle of that reinvention, with the action extending from the court to the jumbotron overhead.
What's Included With Every Ticket
Beyond the game itself, every ticket comes with a free pre-game tip-off party and a 5th Quarter Autograph Session, according to harlemglobetrotters.com. During the autograph session, fans can meet Globetrotters players, take photos and collect autographs after the final buzzer. The team's own schedule page notes a Globetrotters game typically runs about one hour and 45 minutes, giving families a manageable outing for a December weeknight.
When to Buy Tickets
Presale tickets for the Cleveland show go on sale Sept. 28 at 10 a.m., with general tickets following on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Fans hoping to lock in seats before the wider public sale will want to move quickly once the presale window opens. The Rivalry Tour brings a fresh spin on a century-old act to Rocket Arena this holiday season.
