A 43-year-old Hartford woman is facing a second-degree murder charge after her husband died from injuries investigators say she inflicted at their Rowe Hill Road home on Wednesday. Christine Clark was arraigned Thursday in Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and remanded without bail.
According to Newport Dispatch, state police and EMS responded to the residence after receiving a report of an adult found unresponsive inside the home. James M. Clark, also 43, was found with severe, life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Glens Falls Hospital, where he later died. Christine Clark was transported to State Police Granville for processing before being held at the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment, the outlet reports.
Troopers and emergency responders were dispatched to the Clarks' home around 11:21 a.m. Wednesday after a report that an adult was unresponsive, according to NYVT Media. NYVT Media identified Christine Clark as the victim's wife.
