According to the event schedule posted by the Helen Chamber, the 2026 parade began at noon on September 12, followed by an official keg tapping. Guests from Fussen, Germany, were slated to join in tapping the second of two kegs that day, per the chamber's schedule.
What's Still Ahead on the Festhalle Calendar
With most of the fall still to go, organizers have built in fresh reasons to return to the Festhalle at 1074 Edelweiss St., which the chamber's affiliated tourism site, helenga.org, describes as the site of the official Helen Oktoberfest celebration. The chamber's schedule lists the third annual Stein Holding Competition for October 10, and a costume party is planned for Halloween night, October 31. The event's own listing on helenga.org describes Helen Oktoberfest as the longest-running Oktoberfest in the United States, though that claim comes from the event's own promotional materials.
Admission runs $10 per person Monday through Thursday, with kids ages 6 to 12 priced at $5 and children under 6 admitted free, the chamber's schedule notes. Active and retired military personnel get in free with a military ID, while veterans receive a discount, according to the same listing.

The extended run isn't an accident. The 2026 schedule also lists a parade, but whether this year's route mirrored that exact path wasn't detailed in the chamber's 2026 schedule.
