Police said a woman told officers she had been arguing with Maese while he drove and tried to leave the vehicle. She alleged that Maese used both hands to keep her from getting out and hit her in the face. Officers said they observed an injury to her lower lip, according to KTSM 9 News.

Horizon City police became involved Saturday after a witness reported seeing a man force a woman into a vehicle near Vista Larga and South Darrington Road. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office circulated information identifying the vehicle as a black 2014 Dodge Durango traveling north on South Darrington Road. An officer later located and stopped the SUV in the 10100 block of the road. Maese was identified as the driver while officers spoke with the passenger, KTSM 9 News reported.
