Hyundai is staying put at Truist Park through the 2029 season. The automaker has renewed its partnership with the Atlanta Braves through the 2029 season, extending a relationship that has followed the team since its move to Cobb County.

According to WSB-TV, Hyundai has partnered with the Braves since 2014, spanning the team's entire run at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. The renewal keeps that relationship intact through at least the 2029 campaign, according to the station's report.

The Braves and Hyundai said in a joint statement that they look forward to continuing their partnership through the 2029 season, the outlet reported. The deal preserves Hyundai's visibility across several fan-facing touchpoints tied to the team's Sunday programming and ballpark presence.

What Fans Will Still See at Truist Park

Hyundai will remain the presenting sponsor of Alumni Sunday, the pregame recognition held before every Braves Sunday home game at The Battery Atlanta, per the same account. The automaker also keeps its presenting sponsorship of BravesVision, the ballpark's video board, and of the Braves radio network's Sunday broadcasts.

On the physical side, Hyundai signage will continue throughout Truist Park, including outfield wall placements and seating-bowl signage positioned behind the visitors dugout, the report notes. The signage will continue as part of the in-park experience under the renewed partnership.

A Bigger Georgia Footprint

The sponsorship renewal comes as Hyundai's physical presence in the state continues to expand. Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, the automaker's manufacturing facility located outside Savannah, is projected to create more than 8,500 direct jobs once it reaches full operating capacity, per the same account. At full capacity, the plant is expected to have the ability to produce 500,000 vehicles.

The Georgia project has moved from construction plans into production: the first IONIQ 5 rolled off the Metaplant’s line in October 2024, and in June 2026 the facility added the Kia Sportage Hybrid. Hyundai says the site is expected to employ more than 8,500 people when fully operational, with another 6,900 jobs at offsite suppliers. The factory is part of a broader automotive campus that includes a joint-venture battery plant and supplier operations. Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America’s facility overview lays out the timeline and projected workforce.

Hyundai has invested $7.59 billion in Georgia overall, according to the report. That figure underscores the scale of the company's commitment to the state beyond its ballpark branding, though the evidence does not break down how that investment total is allocated.

The public return from the stadium arrangement remains contested. A 2022 analysis by Kennesaw State economist John Charles Bradbury estimated that stadium-related tax revenue fell short of Cobb’s public investment and put the annual cost to taxpayers at nearly $15 million. That estimate covers a different period and accounting framework than the county’s 2024 General Fund figure, so the two numbers are not direct comparisons. Bradbury’s study of Truist Park and The Battery details the fiscal analysis.

Cobb County’s 2025 update offered a local measure of the ballpark district’s economic footprint: the stadium and associated taxes generated a reported $3 million net gain for the county’s General Fund in 2024, while the adjacent Battery Atlanta was counted separately. The Battery’s taxable property value rose from $5 million in 2014 to $577 million in 2024, and its taxes generated more than $10.5 million for Cobb County government. The county’s annual Braves update also said 74% of Battery visitors come from outside Cobb.

Pediatric Cancer Initiative Continues

Beyond signage and broadcast sponsorships, the partnership includes Hyundai Hope On Wheels, the company's ongoing pediatric cancer initiative with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Since 2005, Hyundai Hope On Wheels has provided more than $7.2 million in support for pediatric cancer research and care at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, according to Hyundai.

Since 2019, the program has invited a pediatric patient to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Braves' final home game of the season or during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, the station reported. That tradition is expected to continue as part of the renewed agreement, tying the automaker's charitable work directly to the ballpark experience Braves fans see each year.
