Okogie moved to Snellville with his family at age three and later became a standout at the school, where he was named Gwinnett Daily Post Player of the Year during both his junior and senior seasons, according to Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets athletics. His performance there was significant enough that the school later retired his jersey.
From Shiloh, Okogie went on to play for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 2016 to 2018. He was selected 20th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2018 NBA draft, per Wikipedia.
