Kansas City police are searching for a 17-year-old boy who has been missing for more than a week, last seen walking away from a Northland intersection late on a Tuesday night with his family growing increasingly worried about his safety. Eliezer’Kyleq Robins Barbee has not been seen since the evening of September 15, when he was spotted near Northeast 108th Street and North Ewing Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.
According to FOX4KC, Barbee disappeared from Kansas City’s Northland and has now been gone more than a week. Police describe him as standing 5-foot-8 and weighing about 210 pounds, and say he was last seen wearing joggers, a black hoodie and a pair of black Jordan shoes.
Family Fears for Teen’s Safety
The Kansas City Police Department says Barbee’s family is concerned for his safety and well-being, per the same report. That concern has driven the ongoing search effort for the teen, who vanished without further trace after being seen at the Northland intersection.
Separately, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department has issued a Missing Endangered Person notice for Barbee, describing him as a 17-year-old Black male who has been missing since the evening of September 15, according to Martin City Telegraph. That outlet reports the notice is filed under Kansas City Missouri Police Department report number KC26056159.
How to Help Find Him
Investigators are asking anyone with information about Barbee’s whereabouts to call 911 or the KCPD Missing Persons Unit directly at (816) 234-5043. With more than a week now passed since he was last seen, his family and police continue to hope that a tip from the public could help bring him home safely.
