Storm Chances Rise This Afternoon
Mostly sunny skies should hold through late morning, with temperatures climbing through the 70s and low 80s. A slight chance of showers arrives around 1 p.m., followed by a better chance for showers and thunderstorms between 2 and 5 p.m.; the overall chance of rain is about 30%, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs should reach about 88 degrees before temperatures ease into the mid-80s later in the afternoon. Winds will remain light, generally from the northeast at 5 mph or less, while any rainfall is expected to be spotty with less than a tenth of an inch possible in most locations.
Hotter And Drier Tuesday And Wednesday
Monday night brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m., then partly cloudy skies and a low near 66. Tuesday looks sunny and hotter, with a high around 90, followed by another mostly clear night near 67.
Wednesday continues the dry stretch with sunshine and a high near 91. More unsettled weather is expected Thursday and Friday, when highs remain in the upper 80s to low 90s and shower and thunderstorm chances increase, especially Thursday afternoon and night.
