The warmest days arrive over the weekend: Saturday is forecast to reach about 78 degrees and Sunday about 80, under sunny to mostly sunny skies. Monday should be milder, with a high near 75, extending the late-summer feel into early October.
How the Forecast Compares
For Tuesday, Sept. 29, the forecast high near 69°F is below the 72°F normal high. The National Weather Service’s Portland climate report also lists a record high of 89°F for the date. Local temperatures can vary, too. In a separate heat-mapping project on July 22, 2023, volunteer readings in the Tualatin area were almost six degrees warmer than PDX’s 89°F high, according to Multnomah County. That hot-day snapshot is not a neighborhood forecast for this week.
