A 54-year-old Lebanon man with a long history of drug cases is now the target of a state police manhunt after he walked off a work-release job and never returned to the Lebanon County Correctional Facility. Aundria Devell Scott Sr. left his post at Brentwood Industries on foot around 2:15 p.m. last Thursday and simply didn’t come back, according to investigators.
Pennsylvania State Police say Scott was due back at the jail by 3:40 p.m. that same afternoon but failed to report, as reported by Daily Voice. Trooper Justin Marderness of the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown station filed a third-degree felony escape charge against Scott the same day, and troopers have since issued a warrant for his arrest. Notably, Scott did not break out of the prison itself — he was legitimately permitted to leave the facility for his work-release assignment before failing to return.
Under Pennsylvania law, failing to return from an authorized work-release leave while serving a criminal sentence is graded as a third-degree felony, according to state statute, carrying a maximum of up to seven years in prison if Scott is convicted of the escape charge on top of whatever remains of his existing sentence.
A Long Road Through Lebanon County’s Courts
Scott’s case has wound through Lebanon County’s justice system for years. He pleaded guilty in 2019 to felony possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver, and in February 2020 was sentenced to nine to 23 months in confinement, receiving credit for 193 days already served. In 2022, he pleaded guilty to drug paraphernalia possession and was ordered into Lebanon County’s drug court program.
That effort at rehabilitation didn’t hold. Scott’s probation in the drug case was revoked in December 2023, and he was resentenced to six to 23 months in confinement. He also pleaded guilty to drug possession in a separate 2024 Lebanon city case tied to an October 2024 arrest on the 700 block of Lehman Street — the same street where Brentwood Industries sits, according to LebTown. Scott initially received probation in March 2025 but was resentenced again in June 2025 following a probation violation. He was being held at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility as of late May.
Where He Was Working, And Where He Was Held
Brentwood Industries, where Scott was assigned before he walked off, runs a large plastic thermoforming and recycling plant at 2101 Lehman Street in Lebanon that has operated since 1989, according to Brentwood Industries. The Lebanon County Correctional Facility, located at 730 East Walnut Street, is a 5th Class county prison led by Warden Tina Litz with a state-inspected capacity of 645 beds as of 2025, per the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. County jails like LCCF typically house inmates serving sentences of less than two years, while those sentenced to five years or more are sent to state prisons, according to Lebanon County, which explains why Scott’s six-to-23-month sentence kept him in the county system rather than a state penitentiary.
This isn’t the first time an LCCF inmate has failed to return from a work assignment. In March 2023, state police searched for 37-year-old inmate Terance Brent after he didn’t return to the facility from work release before he was recaptured, according to LebTown. That same month, a 47-year-old inmate assigned to LCCF escaped from correctional officers while receiving medical care at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon before being caught shortly after, per the Daily Voice.
Search Continues As Other Crime Grips Lebanon
The Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown station, which filed the charge against Scott, handles state police investigations across South Lebanon Township and the surrounding rural stretches of Lebanon County. The search for Scott is unfolding against a backdrop of other unrelated public safety activity in the area — on Friday, the day after Scott went missing, Lebanon City Police responded to a separate fatal shooting on North Jones Street involving a 33-year-old homicide victim, according to the Daily Voice.
State police are asking anyone with information on Scott’s whereabouts to call PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194. Tips can also be submitted through PSP Tips at 1-800-472-8477, and information leading to Scott’s arrest could be eligible for a cash reward, according to FOX43 News.
