Heat Advisory Runs Through Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory from noon Tuesday through 8 p.m. Wednesday for Louisville and surrounding areas. Heat index values could reach 105, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday morning starts clear and comfortable by comparison, with temperatures in the mid-60s around sunrise. South winds will stay light at roughly 2 to 7 mph, but afternoon temperatures will rise quickly, reaching the mid-90s by late day.
More 90-Degree Heat Into The Weekend
Wednesday will bring little relief, with mostly sunny skies, a high near 95 and heat index values again reaching about 101. Thursday will remain warm, with sunny skies and a high near 99.

Plan Outdoor Time Carefully
The most dangerous period will be from midday through the afternoon, when heat and humidity combine to push feels-like temperatures above 100. Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest hours, take frequent breaks in shade or air conditioning, and never leave children, older adults or pets in a parked vehicle.
