A man was shot multiple times near the Mary Tyler Moore statue in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday morning, leaving him in critical condition at a local hospital. Minneapolis police responded to the area of 7th Street S. and Nicollet Mall around 11:28 a.m. after 911 callers reported hearing several gunshots and seeing a man down on the ground.
According to FOX 9, officers arriving at the scene found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition. Officers tracked down a suspect nearby, and Metro Transit Police helped Minneapolis police make the arrest, according to the same report.
