According to NBC Boston, officers were called to the home after a 911 call around 6:45 p.m. reporting that someone had been shot. The Boston Globe, however, reported that officers responded at 6:47 p.m. to a report of a person shot at the house on Putnam Road, a slight discrepancy in the timeline that has not been reconciled by police.
The woman was treated at the scene before being brought to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where police say she remains in critical but stable condition, per the NBC Boston report. The man was already dead inside the home by the time officers arrived, the outlet's report states.
