Kansas City police are investigating a man’s death as a homicide after he was injured in an altercation near 31st Street and Prospect Avenue. No arrests have been made.
The investigation began September 24, when officers were called to the area about a possible strong-arm robbery, according to KMBC.
Officers found a man with upper-body injuries near the intersection. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, the station reported.

The man died on Saturday, September 26. Police classified the case as a homicide after his death, but have not released further details about the altercation, KMBC reported.
No arrests had been made as of KMBC’s latest update. Police have not said whether they have identified any suspects.
