An unidentified man died Monday morning after being found in the San Antonio River on the city's West Side, near Northwest 26th Street and the area of West Houston and Travis streets. Police were called shortly after 11 a.m. after passersby saw him beneath a bridge and brought him to shore.
According to WOAI, the passersby called 911 after removing the man from the water. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
