A man was found shot dead Sunday night in the 12400 block of Veterans Memorial Drive in northwest Harris County, and investigators say they have no suspect description to go on. Harris County deputies responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. and found the man dead with possible gunshot wounds, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

ABC13 reported that investigators were looking into reports of two possible people involved, though no suspect description had been released. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez urged anyone with information to come forward, asking the public to contact HCSO at 713-221-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477), ABC13 reported.
A Corridor With a Violent Recent History
The 12400 block of Veterans Memorial Drive was the site of a fatal hit-and-run on January 19 that killed 69-year-old Ruben Albarran Perez, according to FOX 26 Houston. Crime Stoppers offered a $5,000 reward in the case.
The corridor has also drawn law enforcement attention for reasons beyond violence. In April, Precinct 4 constable deputies raided an unlicensed game room in the 11200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive, seizing nearly 70 gambling machines and more than $5,700 in cash, as Hoodline previously reported. Officials said illegal gambling establishments attract a range of criminal activity and may fund serious criminal enterprises.
Founded in 1837, the Harris County Sheriff's Office is the third-largest sheriff's office in the country and the largest in Texas, serving more than 4.1 million residents across 1,788 square miles with nearly 5,100 sworn and civilian staff.
Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $5,000 in the Ruben Albarran Perez hit-and-run case.
