A man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition Tuesday morning after being shot in the head inside a home in the 800 block of Arch Street in Norristown, officials say. The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m., and the scene remained active at 12:30 p.m.
Officials told NBC10 Philadelphia that the man was shot inside the residence and transported to a hospital in critical condition. Aerial footage from Skyforce10 showed a heavy police presence in the area as officers worked the scene, which remained active as of 12:30 p.m. The outlet has not identified the victim or a suspect and says it will update the story as more information becomes available.

And in January, a woman was paralyzed in a shooting at a Norristown gas station that investigators later tied to a straw-purchasing gun trafficking ring running through a local firearm retailer, according to search warrants covered by FOX 29 Philadelphia.
