Before joining Quiet Riot, John Torra fronted New Jersey metal band Fire 'N Ice, according to Syracuse.com. Torra, 23, is from Massapequa and has been named the band’s new lead singer.
How Torra was chosen
Quiet Riot selected Torra after an open call that received more than 700 submissions, Syracuse.com reported. His audition videos circulated online and attracted fan support. The band’s manager, Regina Banali, described that response while also crediting Torra’s ability; Consequence reported her comments.
A change at the microphone
Torra takes over from Jizzy Pearl, who left after Quiet Riot’s latest run of 2026 shows, according to Loudwire. The other musicians named in the group’s current lineup are bassist Rudy Sarzo, guitarist Alex Grossi and drummer Johnny Kelly, Loudwire reported.
Touring plans
Quiet Riot is scheduled to return to touring in October with Torra on vocals. The reported itinerary includes U.S. dates and shows in Mexico and South America, with performances extending into 2027, according to the New York Post and Consequence.
