Friday will stay sunny and dry, with light winds offering little relief from the heat. Saturday looks much the same, with another high near 100 and continued heat. The National Weather Service Memphis says the broader advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Saturday.
Afternoon Heat Adds Another Concern
Friday's heat will add another afternoon concern for Shelby County and nearby parts of the Mid-South. Residents should limit prolonged outdoor exertion, especially during the hottest part of the day.
A Cooler Pattern Finally Takes Shape Next Week
Sunday will remain hot, and a spotty shower is possible. Monday brings a weak cold front and rain chances. A slight cooling trend may develop by Wednesday.
