A penthouse tied to Dell Technologies founder and CEO Michael Dell is in Boston's Millennium Tower. A venture representing Dell paid $10.9 million for the unit nearly a decade ago.
A $10.9 Million Purchase
The purchase dates back to December 2016, when a venture representing Dell paid $10.9 million for the penthouse at the 60-story Millennium Tower, according to bostonherald.com. The buyer was listed as MT PH4B LLC, an Austin, Texas-based company managed by Marc Lisker of MSD Capital LP, the outlet reported at the time. That deal also included rights to two parking spaces in the Millennium Partners-developed tower in Downtown Crossing.
The penthouse's 2016 purchase price was $10.9 million.
Inside the 59th-Floor Unit
The three-bedroom, 4.5-bath penthouse sits on the 59th floor and comes with a private terrace, a gas fireplace, and wide-plank wood and marble flooring, according to realtor.com.
Millennium Tower itself offers residents a lap pool, fitness facility and 24/7 concierge service. Comparable penthouses in the same building have fetched considerably more in past sales: realtor.com reported that a three-bedroom, 4.5-bath penthouse sold for $11,995,000 on October 31, while a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath unit closed for $11.2 million on November 4.
Part of a Much Larger Real Estate Portfolio
Dell's Boston real estate footprint didn't stop at the Millennium Tower. In 2020, he bought a penthouse at the Four Seasons Private Residences Boston for $34 million, according to the seed facts.
