A Flood Watch remains in effect through early Friday morning as saturated soil raises the risk of fast runoff and flooding.
Storm Chances Build Through Thursday
Thursday’s high is expected to reach about 79 degrees, with an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day. Winds should generally stay light, but storms could bring brief heavy downpours and thunderstorm outflows.
The National Weather Service says the Flood Watch was extended into Friday morning. Residents should be especially cautious around low-water crossings, poor-drainage areas and streets that have already seen standing water.
Thursday Night Rain Chances Ease
Rain and thunderstorm chances decrease Thursday night, when the forecast calls for a 40% chance of precipitation. Showers and storms could continue into early Friday, before conditions begin to turn more favorable for outdoor plans.
Friday should bring a high near 84 degrees, with only a 20% chance of early showers and thunderstorms before drier conditions set in. The weekend looks quieter.

Moisture is expected to increase again Monday and Tuesday, bringing renewed chances for showers and thunderstorms.
