Pittsburg has a new spot for cold-pressed juice, superfood smoothies and açaí bowls. Nékter Juice Bar has opened at 2261 W. Leland Road, Suite B01, bringing its menu of cleanses, wellness shots and protein waffles to the East Bay, with a grand-opening celebration set for Sept. 19.
Ribbon Cutting Kicks Off Sept. 19 Celebration
The Pittsburg location's grand opening will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 19, according to contracostaherald.com. The celebration begins with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., the outlet reports.
Guests who spend $25 that day can score a free protein waffle, and everyone who stops by can enter to win four weeks of free Nékter smoothies, one per week, per the same account. The new shop offers dine-in seating, free Wi-Fi and online ordering through the Nékter app, according to locations.nekterjuicebar.com.
Owners Say They've Been Part of the Community for Years
The Pittsburg shop is owned by Hena and Farukh Munir, who said they've been part of the community for the past 12 years, the report notes. Nékter Juice Bar itself was founded in 2010, per the outlet's coverage.
On the menu: freshly made juices, smoothies, cold-pressed juice cleanses and handcrafted açaí bowls, according to the Nékter location page. Customers can also build their own açaí bowl, choosing a granola and three free toppings for what the company's page calls “12,582,912 ways to customize your meal.”
Wellness Shots and a Full-Day Reset
Beyond bowls and smoothies, the location's menu features wellness shots built around ingredients like ginger, lemon and turmeric, per the location page's description of an “anti-inflammatory boost of turmeric and apple.” For those chasing a deeper reset, Nékter also sells a 1-Day Reset cleanse, which the company describes on its product page as “an all-in-one full-day cleanse designed to give your digestive system a break while delivering essential nutrients that support overall wellness.”
Pittsburg isn't the only Central Valley or Bay Area community seeing a new Nékter storefront this year. A separate Nékter location was reported to be debuting in Manteca, with a grand opening scheduled for Aug. 29, according to a low-confidence report from recordnet.com.
Early word of mouth on the Pittsburg shop has been positive: a Yelp reviewer described the strawberry cloud smoothie as yummy and the servers as friendly, per the review site.
