Burrito bowl fans in New Braunfels are about to have a lot less driving to do. Chipotle Mexican Grill is opening its second location in the city at 323 Creekside Crossing, Ste. 101, with the new spot slated to open Sept. 22 according to a news release.
The opening date comes from a report by Community Impact, which also confirmed that Chipotle is opening a second New Braunfels location. The chain is known for serving customizable burritos and bowls; the sources do not specify a particular bowl or its ingredients.
The build-out is already underway. Chipotle is finishing out a 2,528-square-foot endcap for the location, according to a report from sunriserealtygroup.net, which places the site within Creekside Town Center, near the intersection of I-35 and FM 306.
What a Chipotlane Means for Pickup Orders
The new restaurant will feature a Chipotlane, the company's term for a drive-thru pickup lane that lets customers retrieve digital orders without leaving their vehicles, per the same Community Impact report. For anyone who has ordered ahead on the app only to hunt for parking, the setup is designed to cut that step out entirely.
The second location adds drive-thru convenience to the mix. With a September opening date now attached, the countdown to the city's next burrito run is officially on.
