A man was critically injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon on the 800 block of River Run Court in St. Louis’s North City neighborhood. St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department District 6 officers responded at about 1:25 p.m., according to KMOV.
A citywide measure offers limited context
In a separate measure of firearm-related activity, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported a 13% decline in Shots Fired calls in 2024 compared with the year before. That figure counts calls across the city; it is not a count of shooting victims and does not describe a North City-specific trend. It therefore cannot establish a connection to Sunday’s shooting or explain what happened on River Run Court.
KMOV reported that police had not released further information about what led to the shooting or who may have been involved. The circumstances of this incident remain unclear.
