North Park's biggest annual food crawl is coming back Oct. 3, and if history is any guide, tickets won't last long. Taste of North Park, the neighborhood's self-guided tasting event, mixes food and drink stops with live music, local art and shopping along some of the area's most walkable blocks.
The event's official site lists more than 50 food tastes and 15 beverage sips for this year's edition, according to tasteofnorthpark.com. A separate report from Fox 5 San Diego describes the event as offering more than 75 food and drink stops, a bigger figure than what appears on the event's own site — the two accounts don't fully line up on scale, but both agree the tasting footprint is substantial. Fox 5 also notes the event marks its 15th year in 2026.
Whatever the exact count, North Park has built a reputation as a dense cluster of restaurants and bars worth exploring on foot. The neighborhood has practically tripled its culinary presence over the past decade, per a 2025 report from Times of San Diego, and that growth shows up in the tasting event's lineup.
Who's Pouring and Plating This Year
Confirmed participants for 2026 include Big City Bagels, Encontro, Jeni's Ice Cream and Little Sisters, according to the event's official listing. Finca, described on the official site as one of the food and beverage stops, is also on the roster — a wine bar and bottle shop that launched in 2024, per a description from whatnow.com. Beyond the food and drink lineup, the site lists shopping and community stops including Pigment, Replay Toys, Revival Eyewear and Speakeasy Clothing.
Organizers say the complete lineup of participating eateries and drink purveyors will be announced during the week of the event itself, per the seed reporting from Fox 5 San Diego. Past editions have brought in newcomers like Mabel's Gone Fishing and Little Sisters Pizza, according to the same Times of San Diego report, so this year's list could shift before Oct. 3 arrives.
The event bills itself as a self-guided tasting adventure through the neighborhood, featuring bites and sips from local restaurants, breweries, cideries and wineries, according to ma.to's event listing. That same listing notes the day also includes local shopping and art activations spread throughout North Park.
Tickets, Ages and the Annual Sellout Rush
Taste of North Park is open to all ages, though attendees must be 21 or older to sample alcoholic beverages, according to the official event site. Ticket options for this year include a food-tasting-only pass at $50, a food-and-drink tasting ticket at $65, and a shareable sip ticket at $85 that covers one shareable food sample for two people at each station along with two tasting cups for drinks, per Fox 5 San Diego's reporting.
The event historically sells out four days before the event date, according to the official site, and organizers expect this year's tickets to go the same way, as they do every year. Last year's edition was described as the biggest in the tasting event's 14-year history, with organizers adding 200 additional tickets after the prior year sold out rapidly — bringing the total to 1,500 punch-card tickets, per Times of San Diego's account of the 2025 event.
That 2025 edition drew nearly 50 restaurants and breweries doling out samples from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and its tasting district stretched along University Avenue from Florida Street to 32nd Street, with additional stops along 30th Street near University, according to the same report. Food-only tickets for all ages sold out ahead of the other 21-and-over options that year.

Attendees check in on the day of the event at North Park Mini Park, located at 3812 29th St. in San Diego, where staff hand out the Taste of North Park passport used to redeem tastings, per Fox 5 San Diego's reporting. Parking is available in the North Park Garage on 29th Street, the same report notes.
