A Norwood medical spa is putting down roots in Melrose, renovating a century-old commercial building on Green Street with plans to open around November 15. Dynamic Evolutions, founded by advanced practice registered nurse Christina Knight, is expanding beyond its original South Shore clinic for the first time, bringing injectables, laser treatments, and hormone therapy to a second Massachusetts location while undergoing a broader rebrand.
The new outpost is located at 35 Green Street, according to What Now Boston, in a 2,202-square-foot building constructed in 1909, according to J Barrett & Co. Dynamic Evolutions is undergoing a full interior renovation of the space ahead of its target opening date.
From Part-Time Practice to Multi-Location Brand
Knight launched Dynamic Evolutions as a part-time practice in 2021 and is now expanding it to a second location, with more than 25 years of nurse practitioner experience and more than three decades in nursing overall, the practice's report notes. The original clinic will remain open in Norwood. Healthgrades lists Knight at 99 Access Road in Norwood. Knight describes her approach as personalized medicine, combining traditional Western medicine with integrative care, the same report states.
“We don't turn anyone away,” Knight said, according to the same account, adding that the practice does not oversell treatments that are not right for clients. The Melrose location will offer more than 20 personalized health, beauty, and wellness services, spanning medical aesthetics, laser-based treatments, and bioidentical hormone therapy for both women and men.
A Rare Laser and New Wellness Tech
Among the equipment moving to Melrose is the Fotona laser, which the practice says can be used for more than 130 types of treatments. Knight has said she is the only practitioner in the New England area operating this specific Fotona Dynamis Pro model, according to a WebMD profile. The Melrose site will also feature ApexRF, a radio-frequency device from InMode designed to address men's sexual health, erectile dysfunction, circulation, and collagen production.
The new location will introduce Thera Wellness, a German-engineered instrument for personalized wellness assessments that Knight says can help evaluate nutritional needs and potential imbalances, informing individualized wellness and dietary plans. Dynamic Evolutions also offers women's health treatments related to intimate wellness and incontinence, alongside injectables including Botox, Sculptra, Radiesse, and traditional fillers.
Clinical Team Behind the Expansion
Dr. Edgar Ballenas, who has worked in medical aesthetics since 2004, offers injectables, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation, hair reduction, and body sculpting at the practice. Ballenas holds membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and is a board-eligible emergency medicine physician, according to Dynamic Evolutions. Medical aesthetician Marian Negron, who brings more than two decades of beauty-industry experience, specializes in skincare, facial and body treatments, and hair care.
Membership Model and What Comes Next
The Melrose location will introduce a personalized membership and concierge-style model, with membership options offering discounts on certain treatments and packages. The concierge program is planned to include physicals and more direct access to the practice. Dynamic Evolutions plans to introduce the Melrose offerings category by category on social media and has opened a waitlist for the new location.
